According to a Harris Interactive survey, 57 percent of Boys & Girls Club alumni said “the Club saved my life.”
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City Alumni Hall of Fame program serves as a means of recognizing, preserving and honoring the more than 100 year legacy of the Clubs. The Hall of Fame’s mission is to recognize contributions embodied in the Boys & Girls Clubs’ motto: “Great Futures Start Here.”
Inductees are former members or volunteers of the Boys Club, Boys & Girls Clubs or any of its affiliates, who have made positive contributions to youth, the community and have achieved success in their careers. A closer examination of the 2017 inductees into Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City’s Alumni Hall of Fame proves the Club does indeed create Great Futures.
“We can all share the sense of pride that comes with knowing our Clubs produce so many successful leaders,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City President and Club Alumnus, Dave Smith. “Their stories are very different, but all start out the same – with life-changing programs, caring and attentive staff, and the fun and safety of a local Boys & Girls Club.”
