Little Big Town Helps Clubs Shatter Records at 21st Annual Kids Night Out
The Kansas City community came out in full force once again this year at the 21st Annual Kids Night Out with Little Big Town event on Friday, April 7th – raising over $1.6 million for local Club youth and programs. More than 1,200 guests packed the Overland Park Convention Center enjoying a Super Silent Auction, cocktail party featuring the popular Kendra Scott jewelry pull and Golden Ticket drawing, an exciting Live Auction with chef experiences, trips, a car lease and some priceless Little Big Town experiences. Upon taking the stage, Little Big Town delighted the Sold Out crowd with a string of their biggest hits and songs from their latest album.
Presenting sponsor, DST Systems, was supported by a stellar event committee led by Board members Andy Burczyk and Dean Newton.
One of many highlights of the evening included our 2017 Youth of the Year winners bantering with the Little Big Town onstage and participating in a Q&A with them between sets – and, of course, when Fox 4 emcee Abby Eden was able to announce publicly for the first time that KaeShawn had been named the Missouri State Youth of the Year – something due to timing of both events we’ve never been able to do at Kids Night Out. It was a truly special evening. We thank the Kansas City community for supporting the Clubs and all of our youth. With your help, we will continue opening doors to successful futures!
