RBI Scorecard – June 2017

What Is RBI?

Every year, hundreds of area youth have a dynamic experience learning baseball fundamentals, having fun with their friends, and developing valuable life skills like teamwork, respect, personal responsibility and communication. As our RBI motto states, “It’s More Than Baseball…It’s Life!” We believe every child who desires to play should have access to a quality program – the RBI program.
RBI is a comprehensive youth development program that encourages participation in baseball and softball, but, more importantly, it provides young people with a positive, team-oriented activity that teaches important life lessons such as teamwork, responsibility and fair play while challenging them mentally and physically.
Off the field, our program also teaches RBI players important skills through the Boys & Girls Clubs SMART (Skills Mastery and Resistance Training) Moves program. SMART Moves addresses the issues of alcohol, tobacco, other drugs and HIV/AIDS prevention and education. RBI also motivates participation to stay in school and pursue post-secondary education.
Every year the RBI program serves approximately 1,000 youth, 60 teams and hosts over 550 games a season.

Thank You to Our 2017 RBI Sponsors!

The 2017 RBI season is off to a great start. RBI staff is working overtime to ensure players, coaches, and volunteers will enjoy the season. Without the help of those who sponsor and partner with us, our RBI members would not be able to receive quality baseball instruction and opportunities. Your support makes a difference, thank you!

A special thanks goes out to the RBI League Sponsor, the Royals Charities.

RBI Superstars are Shining!
An opportunity that many hope for, but rarely get the chance to experience, has knocked on the doors for Allante Hall and Krystian Davis. Hall and Davis are both catchers with the RBI program who have each received an invitation to attend the MLB BreakThrough Camp in Chicago, June 20 – 25. TheBreakThrough camp is designed to evaluate the skills of those selected. It is a great opportunity for our RBI members and could potentially lead to a spot on the US roster.
If that wasn’t enough to perk the spirits of RBI Coaches, fans, sponsors and family, Major League Baseball scouts have extended an invitation to RBI members, Chase Crockett, Krystian Davis, Tyson Scott, and Malik Stevenson to attend the Most Valuable Prospect (MVP) Series in Atlanta, GA this summer. The MVP Series is hosted by Major League Scouts from various Major League Baseball teams in the United States and abroad. Scouts are looking for skills, as well as, potential during the MVP Series.
We are very proud of our players, and wish them great luck!
