Make Dreams Come True

Become a

VOLUNTEER

Sometimes, all it takes is someone to listen—someone who asks about their day, their hopes, and their dreams. Every minute spent with a caring adult can make a lifetime of difference for a child or teen in need.

You can be that person. By becoming a volunteer with Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City, you’ll have the opportunity to inspire, mentor, and uplift young people in our community.

How You Can Volunteer

There are countless ways to share your time and talents with us.
Program Volunteer

Assist in the classroom as members engage with the SMARTs and Positive Action program materials, providing guidance and support.

Job Shadowing

Help teens explore career opportunities through company tours and job shadowing, allowing them to follow and observe professionals in their desired fields.

Book Buddies

Read to younger Club members (K-5) and help improve their reading skills through a fun, proven curriculum.

Skills Sharing

Share your expertise in one of our Clubs’ Makerspace Technology Labs or recording studios, helping members develop technical skills.

Event Support

Support our major fundraising events throughout the year by volunteering with registration, guest greeting, table support, and more.

Sports Coaching

Make a positive impact by coaching youth in sports, emphasizing teamwork, responsibility, sportsmanship, and self-esteem.

Academic Tutoring

Pick a subject you’re passionate about and help kids navigate their schoolwork in that area.
